Performance Engineering is the discipline of assuring that IT systems are architected, design and tested in such a way as to meet the customer’s performance objectives. To many IT projects leave performance to chance which can lead to costly over runs and poor user experience. The aim of this talk will be to outline the performance engineering process and how you can use it to minimise the risk of your next project having a critical performance problem.
Andrew has been a performance Engineer for years…. He started off working on performance models for avionic architectures, moved to architecting the performance for large scale biometrics system and then worked on all parts of the performance engineering process for customers big and small. In addition he has presented at various international conferences catering to the performance geek. He is now working as a member of a Performance Engineering Practice for a large system integrator.
